LIFE IS A MYSTERY

I go on thinking I never lose,
No matter what things you say.
I tell the truths no lies,
And make things go my way.
Only in my mind do things work the way they do,
It is only there I can be with you.

Life is a mystery, something to solve.
But it can’t be done, when love’s involved.
When will I find the answers to the questions that I ask?
If not now, should I try the past?
If I could go back and undo everything I have done,
If I could take away all the fun...

Do you think it would change the way I feel?
Or would it all seem unreal?
Maybe I shouldn’t make my case,
If I can’t say it to your face.
But with all the things I have tried to give,
You’d think you would understand how I try to live.

Day by day I see your smile,
And every time I stand on trial.
In my mind I face a judge,
Pleading my case to beat the grudge.
The envy I feel to those around you,
The ones whose lives don’t surround you.

Life is a mystery, something to solve.
But it can’t be done, when love’s involved.
When will I find the answers to the questions that I ask?
If not now, should I try the past?
I know I won’t find the answers there,
So why should I let love be my fear?

I’ll go on thinking I will never lose,
No matter what you try to say.
Just know I’ll lie no more,
Your friendship I will not betray.
Even if we are not together,
We can still be friends forever.

Take comfort in those words,
And the things they represent.
The mysteries might go unsolved,
But the fears I won’t lament.
I will love you now, and until the end of time,
Even though you might never be mine.
